Sparking Change

I strongly feel every body can bring a change in and around self. I want to groom the  Urban Indian Mothers with two way purpose- first I would be able to revise and breathe in what I   plan to follow but miss out due to various pressures life throws me in every day. Second I will be able to give India - emotionally balanced youth in currant times and for the future.
I have started spreading the message around me . I meet ladies from various strata of life and I observe their behavior / attitude  pattern. Most of the times I realize in this era of technology,  all urban mothers are craving to be tech savvy .Women have finally begin to flaunt their gadgets like as men used to do 5 years back. Men in any case never discussed issues related to home and kids. It was always the woman trying to find out how the other lady was handling relationship issues. Yes relationship Management was learnt by all women by discussing different types of problems. I myself used to seek information from House wives as to how do they make their children do their H.W or how do they make sure they remember to honour notices sent form kids' school. They taught me they used to stick such notices in the kitchen. They also taught me how systematically they go about spending time with their kids while he/ she does H.W even though the ladies were not that educated to understand the maths problems. But their presence made the child put in efforts and the results always showed. I also learnt from them how to start Forced discipline in early stages of child's life so that he learns to follow  self discipline as he grows up.
Unfortunately  now days no mother discusses such topics. I hear only the 'Best Parlour in town where the best pedicure is given after the lady sees my unkempt feet. When I resist saying "I don't have time"...the young mother will add a statement , " but you deserve to pamper yourself because you are worth it". The other lady would show case her stylish mobile announcing proudly making sure every one around listens ," my husband gifted me saying you will emanate class with this smart phone" . even my husband rebukes me every day, "look at the  horrible mobile set you carry to the parties. why don't you buy a smart phone.I avoid confrontations and say "I don't  have time to rummage through various shops in the market for a mobile set " he debates,"buy on-line". I debate in my mouth - Do I need it?
Buying has become so easy.. Any woman(including me) can spend hours surfing On-line Shopping websites. We can practically order any thing On- Line and we do that even if there is no need to buy that item!
I want to bring back the 'Lost Indian Woman'. I want to change the scenario in a manner that the woman of today can understand the 'need' of the hour. What is Important - Our own personal need or the Nation's need is to be honored. Yes by spending time in instilling values and discipline in our kids we would be meeting the Nation's basic need i.e the give it Balanced Citizens. Technologically we as a Nation have catapulted but we are loosing ground on ethics. I hardly see any one practicing self Discipline nowadays . I want to bring in this change by setting personal example and advocating vociferously to all my urban fellow women.

Cosmetics For Matured Indian Urban Women

Ever since the day I stepped into maturity of my chronological age, I started realizing most cosmetics have stopped showing result on my facial skin. The skin as it is was a rough  tough and neglected sorts since last 2 decades so the common products had probably given up on my skin. I tried searching through the net, the glossy magazines and even through those weekend advise given in newspapers for the right list of cosmetics that I can safely use and yet look dignified when I step out of my house especially for the day/evening parties but unfortunately I found most cosmetics mentioned are meant for women less than 35. In fact they rarely write about makeup / hairstyles for matured women. The country can't ignore the matured gorgeous women. Thanks to Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit who fortunately chose not to hibernate and hide their skin from public view. I am glad they chose to create example of beauty beyond barriers of age. I did try to experiment what these matured beauties promoted as the cosmetic world used them somehow since they were vocal about their faces but I did not find solace in the brands I learnt from either of the Bollywood beauties whether serving or retired!
I then thought of learning my way. I visited the Big Malls in Delhi, studied the products content, and allowed my face to be subjected by those experimental saleswomen who sold brands which you generally can't even pronounce correctly. The products were costly no doubt. I started saving. I knew I have to splurge in good scientific brands. the good things about these good brands was the salesgirls gave free samples to try and then confirm the products goodness. As I tried the samples more and more I learnt I was generally on the right path. I discovered ladies who could vouch by those brands and I developed faith. I started buying one by one each month.
I recently came across a study - Jury awards for the best brands. To my utter happiness I found most of them were on my dressing table. I can now educate my matured urban Indian fellow  ladies as to which products are practically/ realistically good.
